Toto Kitchen Remodeling: The Fort Worth Owner’s Guide

A Toto kitchen remodeling project in Fort Worth typically runs $14,000 to $45,000 installed, depending on the scope, the Toto fixtures and finishes you choose, and how much of the existing kitchen needs to come out first. We keep Toto-compatible installation hardware, mounting systems, and plumbing fixtures on hand for common configurations, which means most Toto-specific kitchen updates can be scheduled within a week or two, not months. Most Fort Worth homeowners realize their Toto kitchen needs work when a faucet starts dripping at the base, a sink bowl begins to separate from the counter, or cabinet hinges that held for years start sagging under daily use.

What usually brings a family to this page is not a full gut remodel. It is a Toto faucet with a cartridge that finally wore out, a Toto sink that shifted because the original undermount epoxy failed, or a kitchen layout that no longer works for a household with kids, pets, and school schedules. Graham Stein and our crew see these patterns across Fort Worth every week, from Fairmount bungalows with original 1920s framing to newer builds near the Cultural District.

Which Toto Models This Applies To

Toto makes a broad line of kitchen faucets, sinks, and related fixtures, and the compatibility details matter more than most homeowners expect. For faucets, we work with the Toto Terra, Toto Mita, and Toto Aimes series most often in Fort Worth kitchens. Each series uses a different cartridge size, so a part ordered for a Toto Aimes pull-down will not seat correctly in a Terra body. The model number is printed on a small tag wrapped around the supply line under the sink, not on the visible faucet body, which is the first place people look and the first thing that wastes a trip to the parts counter.

For sinks, Toto’s kitchen bowls are mostly 304 stainless steel or vitreous china, and the difference determines what will hold up in a Fort Worth kitchen. Our hard water, which runs heavily mineralized through most of the city, wears enamel finishes faster than the manufacturer’s coastal test data would suggest. A Toto vitreous china sink that would look new for fifteen years in Seattle might show surface etching in six or seven years here. We stock OEM Toto cartridges and mounting hardware, and we also carry quality aftermarket equivalents where the materials are genuinely equivalent, like brass cartridge bodies machined to the same tolerances. For anything load-bearing, like undermount sink brackets, we only use the OEM part. Brackets are cheap insurance compared to a sink dropping onto a cabinet face.

Elmstead Remodeling Fort Worth is an independent service provider, not affiliated with Toto. We also stock and install parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone products, which matters when a Toto sink needs to mate cleanly with a Cambria quartz countertop or a KraftMaid cabinet base.

Signs Your Toto Kitchen Remodeling Is Failing

  • Dripping at the faucet base, not the spout. Water pooling around the Toto faucet body usually means an O-ring inside the base has hardened and cracked. The cartridge may still be fine; the fix is a $4 ring, not a $120 cartridge, which is why we check the cheap part first.
  • The pull-down spray head keeps getting stuck or limp. On Toto pull-down faucets, the retraction hose runs through a weighted ball under the sink. When that weight shifts or the hose kinks against a shelf, the head will not retract. It is rarely the faucet itself.
  • Sink bowls moving when you press down. A Toto undermount sink that flexes is a mounting failure, and every week it keeps flexing, the silicone seal is degrading. This is one to address the same week you notice it, not the same season.
  • Cabinet doors dragging or hinges pulling loose. Fort Worth’s summer humidity swells wood cabinet frames, then winter heating dries them back out. Over a few years, that cycle loosens hinge screws that were driven into bare particleboard without anchors.
  • Water staining on the cabinet floor under the sink. This usually traces to a failed supply line connection or a Toto quick-connect fitting that never seated fully. The stain comes before the smell, so catching it early means the cabinet base can often be saved.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

An open kitchen and dining area after a remodel

In Fort Worth, a full Toto kitchen remodel runs $14,000 to $45,000. A smaller kitchen update, where we’re replacing the Toto fixtures, swapping countertops, and refreshing cabinets rather than reconfiguring the whole room, lands between $9,000 and $20,000. Here is the breakdown we give every homeowner before any work starts:

  • Full kitchen remodel: $14,000 – $45,000
  • Small kitchen remodel: $9,000 – $20,000
  • Cabinet installation: $4,000 – $13,000
  • Countertop installation: $2,000 – $6,500
  • Backsplash installation: $800 – $2,500
  • Kitchen island installation: $3,000 – $10,000

Every one of those numbers is a written price before a single tool comes off the truck. The range exists because a Fairmount bungalow with original plaster walls costs different money to work in than a 2018 build near Benbrook with standard drywall. What does not change is the line-item parts transparency: you see the Toto part numbers, the labor hours, and the disposal fees separately. Graham’s rule on this is simple: the written price and the final invoice should read the same. If they don’t, that’s on us to explain before we hand you a pen.

Our 365-Day Done Right Promise covers the work. If a Toto cartridge we installed starts seeping at month eight, we’re back at month eight. No deductible, no service call fee, no argument about whether it was “installer error.”

DIY or Call Us?

There are a few things a Fort Worth homeowner can safely check before calling anyone. Listen for where the drip is actually coming from. Check the supply line connections under the sink with a dry paper towel. Look at whether the Toto model tag is still on the supply hose so you can tell us exactly what you have. Those three checks take ten minutes and they genuinely help us quote faster.

What we do not recommend is pulling a Toto cartridge without the right puller tool. The plastic cartridge bodies will shear if you use pliers, leaving half the cartridge stuck in the faucet body. At that point a $30 part replacement becomes a full faucet swap. We carry the Toto-specific cartridge pullers on the truck, and our technicians are background-checked, uniformed, and trained on Toto’s current series. If you would rather not touch it, that is a perfectly good answer. Call (682) 708-9180 and we’ll schedule the service call.
